OUR TEAM

16 BIT pileup consists of possibly the most eclectic set of people assembled to create incredible art,  Accidental hires, old interns, former clients, and a whole bunch of other people who don’t “fit the mold” make up 16 BIT pileup.  And we are very proud of that.

Jim Armetta

Agent

Jim is one of our original founders and our COE. For those unfamiliar with that acronym, it means he’s the Chief Of Everything—it’s a working-title that he still needs to sign off on.

From client relationships, to overseeing day-to-day operations, to the evolution of our existence, Jim is the brute force behind it all.  And he’s the crazy glue that keeps our little creative family all stuck together like a pocket full of chocolates on a summer day.

Jim takes what 16 BIT pileup is great at and perfectly matches it to exactly what our clients need. He won’t take on a job unless he knows we can knock it out of the park—no pressure there.

In regards to what all we do here, Jim once told us he feels like he’s driving a really cool car that other people built. Not one of us disagreed.

Juan Salas

Creative Director and VFX Supervisor

Juan pulls dreams out of minds and makes them real.

Think back to childhood. Remember how vivid your imagination was? Sticks were swords. Bathtubs were battlegrounds. And classroom windows were gateways into whatever world you wanted to create.

Juan is one of the lucky ones. Because none of that ever went away. His ability to momentarily suspend reality to realize a clients’ vision is unmatched.

From the tools to build it, to the software that brings it to life, down to what the files are going to look like, Juan was born to figure it out. This guy is a maker through and through. If you give him a project—10 times out of 10—he will exceed expectations.

Jeff Legare

Creative Director

Jeff. The OG. One the three original founders.

The guy who makes us scramble to look busy every single time he walks past. Lucky for us, we’re always busy—we save the guy chopping watermelons with sword videos for the commute.

Believe it or not, Jeff has one of the darkest pasts out of all of us. Relax. We’re not talking about some shrine forged from human hair in his basement. He just happened to spend a good portion of his career doing photo manipulation in a very dark room. Jeff was retouching before retouching was retouching. No Mac computer. No fancy software. This maverick has paved the way for us all. And he’s the man we all want to be when we grow up… if we ever decide to grow up.

Thanks for taking us along for the ride Jeff.
